Sylvie (Anja Schneider) grapples with her mother Susanne’s (Hanna Schygulla) decline in a nursing home. Hearing her wasting away through their telephone calls, she tries to navigate the bureaucratic red tape to get Susanne out. But their struggle takes an unexpected turn as the telephone cord that connects them becomes a lifeline guiding them through the nightmarish landscape of their fears and memories in their quest to reunite with each other at the other end of the line. The resolution, becomes a poignant farewell- a moving portrayal of lost goodbyes.
